India defend Windies in the last match

West Indies did not care about India even in a dull match. In the fifth and last T20, they conceded defeat by 88 runs after being reduced to just 100 runs. Batting first, India scored 188 runs for 7 wickets.

India went to bat first in Lauderhill, USA, and reached almost two hundred with the bat of Shreyas Iyer. He scored 64 runs in 40 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes. Besides, Deepak Hooda scored 38 runs off 25 balls. Captain Hardik Pandya contributed 28 runs off 16 balls with two fours and sixes.

Odin Smith took maximum 3 wickets for West Indies.

West Indies lost all wickets to score 100 runs in 15.4 overs. 56 percent of these runs came from the bat of Shimron Hetmyer. He scored 56 runs off 35 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Besides, only Shamarah Brooks (13) and Devon Thomas (10) hit double-digit home runs.

Ravi Bishnoy took the most four wickets. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav got three each.

Axar Patel became the man of the match, he scored 15 runs. India’s best player in the five-match series was Arshdeep Singh, the pacer took 7 wickets.
