Shakib’s contract with Betwinner News – this is the issue of cricket. BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon added fuel to the fire when the discussion raged on whether Shakib Al Hasan should have signed a contract with such an organization. Said Shakib will not have any relationship with Bangladesh cricket if he does not withdraw from this contract.
Shakib Al Hasan has informed BCB in written form of the decision to cancel the contract with Betwinner News after such a strict position of the board.
On August 2, Shakib Al Hasan announced on social media that he has joined Betwinner News. Betwinner News is a subsidiary of Betwinner, a betting-based organization.
So this deal was not taken well by BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) from the beginning. Today (August 11) at noon, the board leaders sat in a meeting at Beximco office in Dhanmondi of BCB president. Several board directors were also present.
After the meeting, the BCB boss satisfied the interest of media workers on the issue of Shakib’s contract. He made it clear that there is no chance of him getting into the team if anything to do with betting is involved.
