Those who are getting a chance in the last ODI

Bangladesh has confirmed the ODI series in the West Indies tour with one match in hand. So the team management is in favor of giving opportunity to the cricketers who are sitting on the side bench in the last match of the series.

Captain Tamim Iqbal and head coach Russell Domingo gave such an indication after the victory in the second ODI on Wednesday.

Tamim said, “bench strength must be tested by us. This is one thing we do very little in Bangladesh cricket. We definitely want to win all the matches. But sometimes it is very important to do it, especially in ODIs. Because, who knows, two important cricketers might get injured in a big series.”

He also said, “If we can’t see those outside in this place, then we will see where.” Because if someone suddenly gets injured, then if a boy comes and plays without any match practice, his job becomes a little difficult. So probably many of them will play in the last match, who have not played much.”

The captain’s words are clear. Anamul Haque is returning to the national team after scoring a record run in the Dhaka Premier League and getting a chance in the last ODI of the series on Saturday. Pacer Ebadat Hossain can also get a chance with him.

Mosaddek Hossain, who replaced Taskin Ahmed in the second ODI of the series, may continue in the third match, but Taskin Ahmed, the pacer who played in the first match, may be returned to the last match.
