Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was looking for a power hitter coach. The board has moved away from there for the time being due to the interest of batting coach Jamie Siddons. The Australian coach himself said that he will teach power hitting to the batsmen.
For this reason, Siddons has been working with Shakib, Mushfiq, Miraj, and Anamul in Mirpur for the past four days. He is regularly training the students by throwing balls with the bowling machine. Many times the ball crosses the boundary even if the timing is correct. Siddons is working on them.
BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon appeared on Thursday to watch the optional practice of the cricketers at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla. On the way out of the stadium, Nazmul Hasan told the media, ‘Jimmy (Jamie Siddons) came to my house a few days ago. We were discussing some things. We were discussing a power-hitting coach. Then Jimmy said, he has a specialty in it. So he wants to work himself. We asked him to continue working.
