Kohli will return to the team in the Asia Cup

Three and a quarter years have passed since Virat Kohli’s last international century. Despite suffering from a century, this batsman was not at a loss. However, in recent times, Rankha also got one of the stars of Indian cricket. Nothing seems to be able to put the bad times behind. Virat Kohli’s name is not even in the team for the West Indies tour, this time in Zimbabwe.

There have already been questions about Kohli’s place in the Indian team for the upcoming Asia Cup and World Cup due to his poor form. However, the Indian media “PTI” claims that Kohli is going to return to the team again after the Asia Cup. The 33-year-old cricketer has already spoken to the Indian Cricket Board BCCI about this.

“Virat has spoken to the selectors that he will be in the team from the Asia Cup onwards. The first-class cricketers will hardly get a rest from the Asia Cup until the T20 World Cup is over. So they can rest as much time as they have before the Asia Cup” – according to the information given by PTI

It may be noted that there were rumors that the selectors would keep Kohli in the squad for the Zimbabwe series to bring him back to form. In the end, though, it didn’t. However, while Kohli was unable to make a comeback in the Zimbabwe series, several old faces returned to the national team after long injuries. Off-spinner Washington Sundar, who has performed well for English county side Lancashire, has been called into the squad. Besides, pacer Deepak Chahar has also returned to the team after recovering from hamstring and back injuries.
