Probable XI of Bangladesh in the first T20

A new era is going to start in Bangladesh cricket today. The four seniors Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyad are not in this first squad. Bangladesh will play T20 series against Zimbabwe without them. The two teams will fight in the first T20 at Harare Sports Club ground at 5 pm.

Wicketkeeper batsman Nurul Hasan Sohan will lead the Bangladesh national team for the first time. His team is full of talent. Only Mustafizur Rahman and Liton Das are experienced who have been playing for 5-6 years. Although Taskin Ahmed made his debut in 2014, he was out of the team for about three years in between. The rest have 2-3 years of experience.

Apart from this, Parvez Hossain Imon, a member of the U-19 World Cup winning team, is waiting for his debut. There is a strong possibility that he will make his debut today. If this happens, he will be seen opening with Liton Das. Enamul Haque Vijay and Nazmul Hossain Shanto will play at number three and four. However, Shantar’s batting average is not good in T20 Internationals. However, being the coach’s favorite, his presence in the eleven is certain. The following positions are fairly fixed. Afif at five, Sohan at six, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat at seven, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan at eight and Nasum Ahmed at number nine.

Shariful Islam and Mustafizur Rahman are more likely to play in the remaining two positions. Taskin Ahmed is less likely to play as it is a T20. And if three pacers are played, in that case Mosaddek should be dropped. However, as there is no senior in the team, it does not seem that the team management will take the risk of playing less than one batsman.

Possible XI of Bangladesh

Liton Das, Parvez Hossain Imon, Enamul Haque Vijay, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan (captain and wicketkeeper), Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Shariful Islam and Mustafizur Rahman.
