Rain feared in Guyana

The first T20 match of the three-match Bangladesh-West Indies series in the Caribbean has been abandoned due to rain. In the second match, Bangladesh lost to the hosts by 35 runs. Bangladesh will play its third T20 match against the Caribbean tonight at 11:30 in Guyana. However, the rain may become a fear.

Despite trailing 1-0, the Tigers are still dreaming of turning around in the T20 series. Mahmudullah Guyana’s wicket is giving confidence to Riyad’s team. The pitch at this venue is traditionally very spin-friendly. Bangladesh has the reputation of winning two matches by playing three ODIs in Guyana.

Riyad is seeing the same wicket in Guyana again. So he is talking about taking advantage of it. Tiger spinner Nasum Ahmed can return to the XI in place of a fast bowler to take advantage of the wicket. Rain could also disrupt Guyana, so there are fears the match could be called off.

Bangladesh will lose the series 1-0 if the match is not held. In the 1st T20, the match was called off due to Rain in Dominica. In the 2nd T20, West Indies won and led the series at 1-0. Next, the tiger is depending on the 3rd T20 win to make the series 1-1 & avoid losing. On the other side, if the match will be called off, the tiger needs to lose the series against the Windies by 1-0.
