Asia Cup schedule released

The Asia Cup schedule is final, Sri Lanka’s opponent is the Afghanistan cricket team in the opening match on August 27.

The next day, the two cricket superpowers of Asia, India-Pakistan, will face each other. The final will be held on September 11. The matches will be held in Dubai and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

Considering the preparations for the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in October-November, this year’s Asia Cup will be in the T20 format.

On Tuesday, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jai Shah said the wait is finally over. The Asia Cup will start on August 27. The final will be on September 11. The Asia Cup will be in the T20 format to strengthen the preparations before the ICC T20 World Cup.

This year’s Asia Cup was supposed to be held in Sri Lanka. But the Asia Cup is being held at a neutral venue in the United Arab Emirates as the island nation’s current financial crisis has left the political situation.
