New Zeland chased 306 runs against Scotland

New Zealand beat Scotland by seven wickets in the only ODI of the series. As a result, after winning the T20 by 2-0, the Kiwis won the ODI series by 1-0. Mark Chapman’s devastating century gave New Zealand victory.

After winning the toss and batting first, Scotland scored 306 runs in 49.4 overs. Michael Leask scored the highest 85 runs for the team. There were nine fours and four sixes in this 55-ball innings.

Apart from this, the innings of 53 runs from 58 balls came with the bat of wicketkeeper Matthew Cross. Opener Michael Jones scored 36 runs. In the end, Mark Watt scored 31 runs and Safian Sharif scored 28 runs.

Jacob Duffy and Michael Bracewell took three wickets each for New Zealand. Lockie Ferguson took two wickets. Blair Tickner and Daryl Mitchell took one wicket each.

Chasing the target, the Kiwis scored 78 runs in the opening pair. Finn Allen went back to Hamza Tahir after scoring 50 runs off 48 balls. Then Martin Guptill and Dane Claver made a pair of 47 runs. An over after Guptill’s return to 47, Cleaver also returned for 32. Lisk returned both of them.

Then Chapman and Mitchell won the team with an unbroken partnership of 175 runs. Chapman scored 101 runs in 75 balls with six fours and seven sixes. Mitchell’s innings of 74 runs came from 62 balls, which included eight fours and a six.
