South African spinner Keshav Maharaj and English wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Banton came to play in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 for the first time for Fortune Barishal. However, they couldn’t stay in the BPL until the end due to injuries.

Maharaj returned home due to a finger injury, while Banton is suffering from a shoulder injury.

Tom Banton played only one match as he scored 26 runs off 24 balls against Rangpur. On the other hand, Maharaj had the opportunity to play three matches, took three wickets.

Meanwhile, in the final phase of the BPL, the famous Proteas batter David Miller will join Barishal.

He will join the camp in Barishal on February 24th. If everything goes well, Miller will play the playoff matches starting from February 25th
