Siraj creates history with firing spell

Indian pacer Mohammad Siraj has been on a rampage in the final of the Asia Cup. Sri Lanka were bowled out for just 50 runs by his fiery bowling. Captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and decided to bat at Premadasa in Colombo on Sunday (September 17). The game was delayed by 40 minutes due to rain.

Sri Lanka won the toss and came down to bat at the end. Lankan batsmen continue to attack the Indian pacers. The Lankans beat 4 batsmen of the top order in just 8 runs. Pathum Nishanka scored 2 runs off 4 balls. And Kushal Perera, Sadira Sadira Samaravikrama, Charith Asalanka went back to Sajghar before opening the account of runs.

Still Sri Lanka lost wickets. Dhananjaya de Silva 2 balls 4 and Dasun Shanaka went back to the dressing room without opening the account of runs in the team’s 12 runs. Pacer Mohammad Siraj completes his five-wicket haul by dismissing Shanaka. Then Kushal Mendis tried to manage the situation with Dunith Vellalaghe who came to the crease.

But Siraj struck again in the Lankan camp. He bowled Mendis who scored 17 runs off 34 balls for the team’s 33 runs. Returned to Vellalag after Mendis’ departure. After that the Indian bowlers quickly picked up two more wickets. In the end, Sri Lanka was all out for 50 runs in just 15 overs and 2 balls.
