Mashrafe inaugurated the ICT Olympiad website

The country’s biggest competition, ICT Olympiad Bangladesh, has officially opened its doors for registration. The official registration process of this program was inaugurated at the KIB Convention Hall in the capital Dhaka.

At the same time, the former captain of the national cricket team and Member of Parliament Mashrafe Bin Mortoza announced the auspicious start of the official website of ICT Olympiad Bangladesh.

In a video message, he said, “following the path shown by the architect of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his privileged daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is transforming the country into digital Bangladesh. I am hopeful that ICT Olympiad Bangladesh will make more efforts to equip the youth of Bangladesh with world-class IT knowledge.”

Eminent persons from ICT, education and research sectors of the country participated in the event.

Notable among them is E-cab President Shami Kaiser, Dr. Atiur Rahman (Former Governor, Bangladesh Bank), Dr. Dewan, Md. Humayun Kabir (Project Director, A2I), Dr. Sajjad Hossain (Member, University Grants Commission), Nasima Akhter Nisha (President, WE), Subrata Sarkar (President, BCS), etc.

Organized jointly by Creative IT Institute and Whistle, e-learning company Bright Skills is associated as the knowledge partner of this competition. Students studying from school to university can participate in a total of six categories, in which there is a total prize money of fifty lakh taka.

ICT Olympiad Bangladesh Governing Body Member Monir Hossain said, “This is our organization to popularize ICT education from pre-school to university (thirty-five years old). Another member of the governing body, Mohammad Shahriar Khan, said, We believe that this competition will be a milestone for our students to be up to date with the fourth industrial revolution. In addition, ICT Olympiad Bangladesh booths are being set up in various educational institutions across the country so that students from remote areas of the country can participate spontaneously in this competition.
